finally released by Roman Misty Lane the first complete biography dedicated to one of the greatest bands of the Sixties the European Union, the Outsiders.
The band led by Wally Tax has become legendary at home already during the second half of the sixties, getting only the effects of fanaticism comparable to those generated in their fans by bands like the Rolling Stones and Pretty Things. With a handful of singles, an album "Best of" album and two officers were awarded the Outsiders a place of honor in r'n'roll Hall of Fame. Their songs are unique, original (in fact the band has ever recorded and live cover this exception is limited to the first term), dirty and essential (first album) as well as rich and experimental (Album CQ).
contamination ranging from jazz to bossa nova to hikes permeated with violent fuzz and reverb uncontrolled between psychedelia and proto-punk, make the Outsiders and their music something unique in those years not only in Holland but throughout Europe. The voice of the charismatic leader Wally Tax, the anarchist folleed low Appia rammers, the frenetic beat of drums or delicate Leen Bush, her hair whipping in the wind and the guitar of Krabbendam, led by writing simple yet precious guitarist Ronnie Splinter are outsiders to the legend that deserve to be out from the pack, equal to none, the Olympus of large groups of r'n'roll that have changed the look and the music in the sixties.

The book, edited entirely (graphics, desktop publishing, a collection of photos, articles, etc.) by Massimo del Pozzo, offers more than the translation of the original text (Dutch) written by Jerome Blanes (also curated by Lenny Helsing of Thanes), introduction by Mike Stax (UglyThings Magazine), the same Lenny Helsing and Massimo del Pozzo, to which is added to the liner notes even Jeff Conolly of the Lyres, fans and longtime friend of Wally Tax and the Outsiders.
thorough discography, interviews with current band members, friends, acquaintances, fans, roadies, producers, sound engineers, members of other bands, etc. make this book an essential document to know the facts and leave the myths that have accumulated through fine 4 decades there separate from the dissolution of the group. An incredible list of (almost) all the concerts performed by the band along with over 250 images, photos, artwork, designs, vintage newspaper articles complete the work. A job must for those who love (or want to find out) beat European history through one of its most important groups.
