O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living
,
entrust to you the cause of life.
Look, Mother,
the vast numbers of babies not allowed to be born,
of the poor whose lives are made difficult,
of men and women are victims of brutal violence, elderly and sick
killed by indifference or a misguided mercy.
Let those who believe in your Son may proclaim
with honesty and love the people of our time, the Gospel of life.
Obtain for them the grace to accept
as a gift ever new,
the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout their lives
and the courage to bear witness
tenaciously active, to build,
together with all people of good will,
the civilization of truth and love, glory and praise of God
creator and lover of life.
