Located in the south-western Sardinia, provide a splendid backdrop created by the incessant action of water underground. The relief of the Monte Meana
which sets out the cavity is made up of dolomite rocks dating back about 530 million years.

The cave, still in operation, consists of several rooms, each of which is distinguished by the peculiarity of the concretion.

In the 60s the cave was used as a quarry, then in 1971 thanks to the boys of the Speleo Club Santadese was provided to the closure and control of the cavity. The cave has a constant temperature of 16 degrees and humidity near 100%.

Along the tourist route that runs for about 500 meters you can admire the beautiful and sometimes massive concretions: stalactites from stalagmites to, and flows through the cannula to the rare eccentric aragonite.

These represent the main feature of caves. The aragonite occur in two distinct forms: the acicular aragonite, which appear as large clumps of needle-like crystals, also referred to by cavers "cave flowers" and the spectacular aragonite eccentric (the highest concentration in one room makes Zuddas the caves are unique in the world): filiform formations that develop in any direction without being influenced by gravity often take bizarre forms.
